My hands covered in blood, the deed is done, and
Duncan is dead. I refused to go back to the sleeping chamberlains to place the
daggers to frame the guards for Duncan’s murder. I heard a mysterious knocking;
worried with guilt I question myself is this where I get caught? My wife and I
washed all the blood off our hands, although it felt like a million years to
clear off. Macduff was the one knocking
and he asks me if the king is awake. I lied and told him Duncan was still asleep. I lead
Macuff to his bedroom and Macduff enters and cries o horror, horror, horror! And
shouts the king is dead. I acted as if I was enraged and murder the guards. I
explained in fury that Duncan’s death was so powerful I could not restrain
myself and killed the guards.
Now
the day has come, since Malcolm and Donalbain fled, I am the new rightful king
of Scotland! I am not finished yet, I must go further to extend my kingship to
future generations, for this to happen, Banquo must die. I hired three of my
men who are murders to assassinate Banquo and Fleance. I find out Fleance has
escaped, but it’s alright. Later that night, I see Banquo, but I thought I
killed Banquo. He would not let me enjoy the banquet being thrown in my honour.
Worst of all, nobody else seemed to notice him, other than me. What is this
madness? My lady exits everyone from the dinner, luckily, before I spilled the
truth. Rest easy Duncan and Banquo, I will make sure your deaths were not meaningless;
I will carry on and rule!
